Rhode Island PrideFest is the state’s largest LGBTQIA+ celebration and one of New England’s most vibrant cultural events, drawing over 100,000 attendees to downtown Providence each June for a full day of community, entertainment, and advocacy.

Founded in 1976 as a grassroots march of just 75 people, the event has evolved into a cornerstone celebration of visibility, education, and pride. The day begins at Innovation District Park, featuring live performances, drag shows, DJs, food trucks, beer and cocktail gardens, and 200+ vendors and community organizations—creating a space that’s inclusive, high-energy, and deeply engaging.

As night falls, PrideFest transforms into New England’s only Illuminated Night Parade, where floats, dancers, and marchers light up Providence in a dazzling showcase of pride and unity.

Each year is framed by a powerful theme—2025: “Unapologetically Proud”—that reinforces PrideFest’s mission as more than just a celebration. It stands as a bold statement of identity, resilience, and solidarity, embodying decades of advocacy and progress.
