New Haven Road Race 2026

The Faxon Law New Haven Road Race is one of New England’s most recognized and heavily covered running events. Returning for its 48th year on September 1, 2026, this event features the longest-running national 20K championship in the U.S., and draws over 5,500 runners and 10,000 spectators for a flat, fast, and energetic celebration of endurance, community, and fun.

Spanning five race formats—including a 20K, Half Marathon, 5K, Relay, and Kids Fun Run—the event brings live music, vendor sampling, post-race parties, and extensive media coverage across Connecticut TV, digital, radio, and print. It’s a unique blend of elite performance, local pride, and a full-on family festival, with over 70 sponsors, a corporate cup competition, and a crowd-favorite afterparty at BAR New Haven.
