Big Day Brewing 24 Hours of Great Glen 2026

The Big Day Brewing 24 Hours of Great Glen, presented by Specialized Bicycles and Mountain Sports Lab, is a legendary mountain biking endurance event held at the base of Mt. Washington and widely regarded as one of the most iconic grassroots races in the country.

Founded in 1995 with just 11 teams, the event has grown steadily into a must attend experience for the endurance MTB community. In 2024, the race welcomed more than 450 riders for a full weekend of racing, camping, and community, cementing its reputation as both a competitive challenge and a social gathering.

Taking place August 1 to 2, 2026, the race challenges riders to complete a 9 mile loop of singletrack and carriage roads over a continuous 24 hour period, either solo or in teams of two, four, or five. The format rewards strategy, grit, and teamwork, making every lap count.

More than just a race, the event functions as a full weekend festival featuring live music, food trucks, beer, creative costumes, camping, and family friendly programming. Youth participation is a major highlight, including the 24 Minutes of Great Glen, which attracted 80 plus young riders in 2024.

The 2026 theme, “Eyes to the Sky,” celebrates space exploration, the upcoming solar eclipse, and the continued legacy of title sponsor Big Day Brewing, adding a creative and cultural layer to one of mountain biking’s most beloved endurance events.
